Continuano le campagne americane per salvere The OC. Questa è la volta dell’e-mail di protesta scritta da un fan americano che fa il punto della situazione ed elenca tutte le motivazioni per cui The OC non andrebbe cancellato. Grazie a The O.C. Time|Dear: Fox Executives/Creators of the OC.

It is with deep regret that I have to be writing this email under such sombre circumstances to plead to you, the FOX executives and The O.C. creators to lengthen The O.C’s lifespan by allowing it a full season 4 and stopping it from cancellation. The O.C. is my life. Never has a show meant so much to me than The O.C, the meanings that lie beneath, the humor that strikes an unstoppable laugh and the deep impact that the show has had on me and millions of others across the globe on a total of 63 channels in 51 countries which span across 6 continents. During season 3 The O.C. reached a total of 146.22 million viewers with all the season 3 episodes ratings combined. Season 4 has since generated 26.2 million viewers in just 8 episodes which have already been shown. This number of viewers is exceptionally good compared to many other teenage dramas currently showing on various networks.

The O.C’s biggest competition series is “One Tree Hill” which is currently being shown on The CW has only generated an average of 3 million a night, whereas The O.C. has steeply climbed from it’s 3.38 million viewer season 4 premiere to 4.29 million viewers during it’s 8th episode, with each episode climbing except for episode 5 “The Sleeping beauty” which dropped by 100,000 viewers and then climbed by over 200,000 in the next episode “The Summer Bummer”. If the ratings for The CW’s “One tree Hill” are good enough for that network can you please explain why FOX which generates so many viewers from The O.C wants to cancel the show? This is preposterous and totally idiotic! FOX executives should overlook this cancellation issue and re-look where The O.C. stands because without it, FOX is nothing.

With this being said, I hope that you (FOX) will look into this matter and and change your minds about cancelling The O.C, this show means the world to millions of people, seeing it go will be disastrous to all of us, and your network.
